James M. Genthner
Founder, President and CEO
James (Jim) Genthner is a graduate of McQuaid Jesuit High and St. John Fisher College and, as a fellowship attendee, he received his M.A. degree in International Studies from Claremont Graduate School. Jim has over 25 years of experience in the pension and employee benefits field and was the founder of EPIC Advisors, Inc. in 1993. Jim currently provides direction to EPIC's operating units, including technical plan services, systems and operations, and client services. Jim was previously the head of trust operations and manager of the pension trust department at Central Trust Company. He is a past president of the Rochester Chapter of the American Institute of Banking and serves as a director for numerous corporate and charitable organizations. Jim is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries.
Neil A. Steffen
Director of Business Integration and Strategic Initiatives
Neil Steffen is Director of Business Integration and Strategic Initiatives. He is responsible for the identification, prioritization, execution and monitoring of all corporate strategic initiatives and projects. Neil also serves as product manager for all trade platforms. Neil joined EPIC in September 1994, coming from Chase Bank and bringing a diverse background and experience in the areas of trust operations, trade processing and settlement, plan recordkeeping and client services. Neil holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo and has over 20 years experience in bank and retirement plan administration. Neil is a past President and Treasurer serving on the Board of Directors of the Wayne County Theatre Association.
